Dear Sir or Madam:
The Organizing Committee of China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) cordially requests the pleasure of your presence at the 11th CIFIT to be held in Xiamen, China from September 8 -11, 2007.
CIFIT is a government-approved event held annually from September 8-11 in Xiamen, China. With a track record of 10 successful sessions, CIFIT is currently one of the largest international investment promotion events in the world and is the only investment-based exposition ever approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). CIFIT attracts more than 10,000 overseas visitors from over 100 countries and regions every year.
CIFIT is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, and co-sponsored by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD), International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) and China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP). In addition to sponsors and co-sponsors, CIFIT is also attended by delegations from numerous member organizations, governments from 31 mainland provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, municipalities with independent economic planning, national authorities, and various national trade associations. CIFIT showcases prospects for investment from throughout China. The event introduces national investment polices, promotes investment projects and recommends a comprehensive range of products from across corporate sector.
With rapid-expanding international scope, CIFIT is increasingly attracting the attention of a rising number of developed and developing countries, as well as numerous international economic organizations, all of which actively participate in the Fair’s conferences and exhibitions.? CIFIT has not only evolved into an important platform for China to attract foreign capital and for Chinese enterprises to expand overseas, but has also become a vital bridge for third country (region) to third country (region) investment.
The 10th CIFIT attracted a total of 12,650 overseas visitors from 113 countries and regions, with delegations of 383 foreign institutions from 80 countries and regions. These groups included 110 governmental organization delegations, 101 commercial association delegations, and 11 sister city delegations, as well as 9 delegations from international organizations, 149 delegations from leading global corporations (including Fortune 500 companies), and 3 other delegations from abroad.? The overall stature of the Fair’s overseas participants showed a notable rise over previous sessions, with 43 vice department-heads or higher government officials, as well as 730 senior leaders from MNC’s and renowned companies, and 450 heads from commercial associations.
The 11th CIFIT is poised to continue to promote international trade, cooperation and investment through a wide array of expositions and exhibits, talks on investment projects, forums and consultations on government policies, and the publication of various items of news and information.
We sincerely welcome government agencies, investors, traders, intermediary organizations, financial institutions and enterprises from across the world to attend the 11th CIFIT.
